Online Player Ranking/Rating System
This is a squash player ranking database. A ranking is a comparison of similarly rated players
based on results of head-to-head matches. Each season (beginning first Monday in August) all sanctioned matches
between eligible players are added. As matches are added, both winner and loser will have their
rating value adjusted based on match value and match outcome.
At any time ranking is determined by sorting players according to their ratings.

Seeding:
New/Unrated players: will be seeded manually with an average of their opponent's rating values. New/Unrated player's seed values will be contiously monitored and adjusted following each new match entered until a minimum of 6 matches have been recorded, including at least one win and one loss. Once new/unrated players have recorded enough matches, their seed values will be assumed accurate and permanently fixed.
Previously rated players: each new season, the last published player ratings from the previous season will be carried forward.
Only Squash Nova Scotia sanctioned tournaments and leagues contribute to rating points.
